A Dream come true

I have ALWAYS wanted to do the 3 day 60 miles breast cancer walk. But I've never lived close to one of their locations. Well guess what? I live in Dallas, Texas now which just happens to be one of the locations. I wanted to do it last year but the walk was a month after I had the baby. Well, this year I am OFFICIALLY REGISTER. Now I have from now till november 1st to raise $2,300 to find the cure for breast cancer. I am beyond excited. I am a little nervous about the fundraiser but I know the Lord will help me. With the help of family, friends, and the community I will be able to do this. October came and went

So october passed by so fast for me. it came and it went as fast as a passing wind. But we had a lot going on that month. We were able to bless our baby Eva. it was such a beautiful baby blessing and she looked gorgeous.

Here are my beautiful kids. Eko is getting so handsome i just can't get enough of both these kids. Here is eva with her gorgeous dress made by her great grandma in utah and made from the material of my wedding dress. so this is a very special dress for me.
The Burroughs came all the way from utah to be here for the baby blessing and to see us at our new home in texas. this is us at the famous texas state fair.
the burroughs brought us our buddy, yay. so now buddy is a texas dog.
Oh yeah some time back mark got a scooter (yes I know, it looks kindda like a bike but its a scooter, trust me i checked)He loves his new bike, he think he looks cool. specially when he wears his neon green jacket and helmet.
Halloween was so fun this year. Eko had a costume party and this neighborhood gets really into it so a lot of the houses were VERY decorated and eko got tons of candy and we only knocked in 3 blocks because it was a school night but some of the big kids that knocked a lot had full pillowcases.
this was our trio, yes all 3 of them went trick or treating, even buddy. he loved the attention he got.
Eva is now 2 months and she is so fun to be around. She loves to smile, SPECIALLY to mark and eko. she is a total daddys girls.
She is VERY petite and people are always shocked when i say she is 2 months and was born at over 8 pounds because she looks so tiny. she is about 10.5 pounds now so she is growing but what do you expect, she has some asian in her. she won't be a big baby like eko was but we are ok with that. that just means she will be my tiny baby for longer.
thats about it for now. Eko is doing great at school and i love it when he comes home telling me all he has learned. mark is still loving his job and we are all looking forward to thanksgiving and CHRISTMAS!!!!

Ok so I have been trying to work on this post for 3 days and I always run out of time so I will make it quick.

-We had Eva's grandparents here visiting last week to see her but they were here and there was NO baby, my hospital wouldn't enduce till 42 weeks and we were running out of time but on September 6th at 4am I woke up feeling a little wet but knew I hadn't peed on myself so I went to the bathroom to check and sure enough my water had broken. I got mark up and he jumped out of bed and was ready to go but since I had no contractions I took my sweet time getting ready. around 5am we headed to the hospital and the contractions were starting and from the beginning they were 2 minutes apart. They checked me & i was only at a 2cm and had to put a heart monitor on the babies head and that caused the contractions to be about 50 seconds apart. By noon I was only at a 4cm so they gave me some medicine to speed things up. while I was there dealing with the contractions the lady next to me (yes I was sharing a room) said "The baby is coming" well the nurses didn't believe her cause they had just checked her and her water hadn't broken and she was at a 4cm. well guess what... her baby really was coming and we heard her say a second time "the baby is coming NOW" and (no lie) 30 sec later we heard her baby cry. the nurse had to catch the baby without gloves cause that baby just popped out. so mark and I got to witness someone else's delivery. A great story to tell Eva when she is older. But anywho, my contractions were pretty strong but the worse was the pressure eva was putting on me. Around 2pm they checked and I was at a 6cm and they said it will be a few more hours but around 2:15 I told them that i felt her head down there and ofcourse they said "No way, there is no way both ladies in this room will have kids popping out that fast." WELL, 5 minutes later i told them again and they checked and sure enough, Eva was ready to come so they got ready, 5 pushes and she was happily out. She came pretty quick & healthy.

Ok here is the funny part.

Both Eko & Eva woke us up at 4AM to go to the hospital. with both I was at 2cm when I got there. with BOTH I got checked at noon and was at a 4cm, and were both Born almost at the same time on their due date. only 15% of babies are born on their due date and I have 2 of those kids.

She was so big around the middle (Even tho you can't really see it) she didn't fit the newborn diapers at the hospital so they had to put her on size 1 since day one and all the newborn clothes we had for her didn't fit. so she wore a 0-3 months dress instead.

Sooo I haven't blogged lately but my sister keeps telling me to update my blog and since she is one of the few that reads it then i decided to updated it.

not much happening here in good old texas, its HOT. sometimes as much as 118 so i try to stay inside as much as i can. I have a pool outside but its too hot to be out there so i only go in the mornings once every few weeks and therefore, I'M WHITE which is not normal for summers for me. Mark is still loving his job cause he gets to play doctor all day long and get payed for it. he has some pretty funny stories from there too. they use to feed them lunch every day but they have stopped that so he was a little sad about that.

Eko finished his first soccer league season. Their team was undefeated and won every game 8 out of 8. eko was sooo proud and so happy cause after every game he got a shake. He only scored a goal on his first game and he said that was good enough for him. he did score one other time but they didn't count it cause right before he kicked the ball in one of the kids tried to touch it so they didn't count it but they still won. He LOVES his trophy and won't let anyone touch it but will show it to anyone that comes through the door. He says he CAN'T wait to play again but that probably won't be till winter so he can play with some of the same teammates.

eko and mark's new thing is to match ALL THE TIME. It's cute and fun but it drives me crazy cause since i have limited clothes to wear right now i end up not matching or eko says "But mom, we just wore that the other day, get new clothes." if it was only that easy. But its sooo cute to see them matching clothes specially on sundays. on regular days they both just end up wearing green cause eko loves green and both of them have tons of green shirts. I DON'T.

My belly.....It's HUGE!!! I feel so bad for eko cause he can't hug me any more. he told me the other day "mom, when is eva coming out so i can hug you normal again, so you can play with me on the floor without pain and so that you can be skinny" lol. smart boy. if it was up to me she would be out but she will be by the end of the month so just a few more weeks.
So a few weeks ago, mark showed eko how to dive for sticks. well two days later eko was swimming and eko goes "mommy, look what i showed myself how to do!" and he started swimming UNDER WATER. all by himself, it took me years to teach myself how to hold my breath for long enough to swim under water, eko does it like if he was a fish. So mark wants to put eko in swimming lessons in september so next year when he is 5 he can be in a swimming team. He already knows how to swim above water, under water, and dive for toys but he needs to learn how to swim on his back and float better and then he will be ready. I'm so glad he is a great swimmer cause his mommy is ok but not the best. mark was a lifeguard for years tho so i guess he got it from him. Hope you can see the video below.

Ok so I know its been a while but we will try to catch up. We moved to texas in march and we are loving it. The weather is still nice, people are super nice and our new ward is awesome.

We are getting ready for baby Eva to come join us. We are naming her LeiLani Evangeline.

Mark lost a bunch of weight, like close to 30 pounds. so here he is showing off how he can fit into his college t-shirt.
Mark got a new job as a patient consultant at a male clinic and he loves it. he thinks its cool how he works at a place with all men where they feed him free lunch every day and he gets to meet cool famous people.
I just HAD to post this picture of my boys matching. They look so handsome together. Eko is so grown up and looks just like his daddy.

Eko turned 4 a few weeks ago. Time is passing by toooo fast.

My big boy is starting soccer in 2 weeks and will be playing till the last week of july. and then 3 weeks later he starts pre-k so a big change for him keeping in mind that he starts school just a week before we are due. We hope our kids schedules work out.

After a scare and a long wait, we were finally able to hear a heartbeat and see our little baby. And even tho the doctor had some concerns, The baby is growing perfectly, my due date is still sept. 06 and we all on the clear for a strong growing baby. Why we should be like Eko (Like a child)

I just LOVE my son as we all love our children. But the reason why I love him so much its because of his happiness. No matter how bad life gets he doesn't let it get to him, He is a natural happiness high inside of him that makes everyone around him happy. Therefore we should all try to be like him. try doing some of the things he does to make you as happy as him.

Don't worry if someone doesn't like you, just go play with somebody else who does.
You should dance as crazy and fun as possible and not care what anybody thinks, they are just jealous of your amazing moves..
You should sing your heart out even if you can't carry a tune or know the words of the song.
You should NOT be afraid to say I LOVE YOU or I'M SORRY. It's not that hard once you do it often.
You should insist on hugging everybody before you or they leave anywhere, even if they are just going to go get the mail outside the door. who knows when you will see them next.
You should look at everything around you as wondrous & new, A great adventure waiting to happen
You shouldn't be afraid to ask questions, what smart person do you know that never asked a question? Exactly!!!
You should run or skip from room to room or across the house just for fun!
Don't be afraid to show your master piece and talents to EVERYONE around you.
You should let your imagination take you places you've not been in a long time, or never been to.
You should wear mismatching clothes and enjoy it.
You should be as silly as you possibly can.
Food was made to enjoy so don't be afraid to dig in and eat with your hands every once in a while.
You should share your food with someone you love
Don't forget to tell someone you love they are your best friend forever and ever
You should build a fort with blankets and chairs and then sleep in it.
You should create something wonderful with building blocks or Legos. maybe even BOTH!!! Oh and don't forget, its ok to add your cars and diego. someone's got to live in it.

I got this idea from a friends post who was also celebrating their son. I just wish I could be one tenth as amazing as eko. He is passionate about life, knows how to forgive and is NOT afraid to say I'm sorry. Maybe If I was just like him, I would be as happy as he is.

Baby #2

So yeah, we are expecting baby #2. We are all very excited. We are about 7 weeks pregnant so we are barely starting out this long journey. I haven't had any morning sickness, but my stomach is really yucky all the time. And this baby will NOT accept any fatty or greasy food AT ALL. The only thing I want to eat is fruits or anything fruity. Eko is loving the idea of being a big brother. He makes sure that i'm always ok, if i complain about the smallest thing he runs to my rescue.

This year we had a fun New Years. We went to my mom's church and they had a HUGE feast with tons of food and these massive fireworks, we were so close it looked like they would land on us because they were throwing them from a 2nd floor building and we were right under them.

This is us celebrating New Years a day earlier with eko. We had a fire (made inside a medal trash can, Miami style) we made s'mores and had sparklers. By the way, this picture of Eko is amazing and it was taken with a phone. I just love it.
This was us on Christmas Eve at Miami Beach. This was a fun Christmas but we sure miss our white christmas in utah, we are hoping to go back for christmas next year.
P.S. Funny story. When Eko was born people would tell me that they thought I looked like if I was 25 or so when I was only 20 and it made me so sad. Well yesterday I went to go buy some sparklers and they wouldn't sell them to me because they said I looked less than 21 and I'm actually 24 now. So I guess I went from looking older with a newborn to looking younger with a 4 year old. Life is a plate of sushi sometimes, it may look raw and funny in the outside but tastes so yummy in the inside. I LOVE SUSHI, CAN YOU TELL.

This is our 2010 christmas Ornament to celebrate our first christmas in Miami. By the way as of yesterday we were still wearing shorts and short sleeve shirts so it fits.
I love this season to celebrate the birth of christ and all he has done for us.
As a latin I just had to put my nativity under my tree as our tradition where it will stay till christmas eve when it will be replaced by the gifts for christmas morning. I also think it will be so much more fun for eko to see just a few gifts to seeing A LOT of gifts from one day to the next.

What I'm Thankful For this year.....

This year has been a year of blessing but also a year of great trials. But over all we have been blessed. Our family is standing stronger than Ever

I'm thankful for a husband that supports me and loves me in my good days and even on the days that I don't even love myself.
My boys, When these two are together, my life is nothing but perfect. They are so silly together and make me laugh so hard.
I'm thankful for my mother. I'm the cute little girl in the middle of this picture. She lives with me now and she has been one of my greatest blessings this year. she reminds me every single day of the Love of the Lord towards me and of my purpose.
And ofcourse I'm thankful for my families. My two families, Mark's parents and siblings and my two sets of parents and my siblings. This year I have learned to appreciate them more than ever

Halloween weekend 2010

Best week we have had in months. Mark came to visit us and surprise eko for halloween after not seeing each other for 3 months. He got here on halloween early morning.

So our costumes didn't work out but I was suppose to be Alice from twillight and mark was suppose to be jacob but we ran out of time and just put something on quick. but eko looked so cute.

Mother Son Date

Eko and I had our first mother / son Date in a while. We use to do it once a month but life has been crazy lately so we haven't done it since July. So the other night we went to chili's for lunch. It was fun to have a day just for the two of us.

My son is a Meat Monster, He loves it and its not ashame to show it.
Who said one was enough, not for eko.

I have always been the type of person that has loved her family but friends have also been a great part of my life. But since most of my really good friends are in utah and I have had some separation with my florida friends. I have come to appreciate my family even more. And not only my family as in Mark and Eko but my extended family too. My mom lives with me now while mark is working in california, this is the first time my mom and I have lived together 100% since I was 9 years old. And I wouldn't have it any other way, she is such a spiritual person that she makes me want to be a better person. I get to spend time with my brothers and their families as well as my aunt and uncles. I have never felt the need to be close to my family as I do now. And I just wanted to say thank you to all of them for their love and their support. Specially now with the holidays coming, I'm really looking forward to spending time with family. Mark will be here for halloween to surprise eko and he'll be here for a week. I am really looking forward to that time together.

MotherHood

MOTHERHOOD

Motherhood is a great thing. It comes natural to most of us and most of us have been blessed to bear children. However, I don't believe you must give birth to a child to be a mother. I know many adoptive mothers that are AMAZING and sometimes even better than those who gave birth to their own children. But anywho...

Motherhood is a great blessing. Even during those times when we think we are going to lose it and want to break something against a wall. It's still great for it teaches us patience, endurance, and faith that it will all be ok. Because when the anger is gone and we look into the eyes of our little babies, all our bad feelings disappear.

My mom lives with me as many of you know and she helps me with eko sometimes like when I'm in the shower and eko is knocking on my bathroom door telling me he wants milk. Well today she left on a two week vacation to Honduras so I'll be on my own with Eko and his cousin Emy, they are both 3. And on monday I'll have the two 3 year olds and my mother's 1 month old all day. This will be my practice to see how I can do it with a newborn and preschoolers running around. Wish me luck.

So why am I thinking about being a mother. Because Eko makes me feel like the greatest mother, even after I just finished punishing him he still tells me he loves me and that i'm just best friend. I wish I was that forgiving and as great of a mother and he thinks I am. But I am truly blessed to have him by my side. Hope you all have moments like this when you just HAVE TO say thank you to the Lord for the little angels in your arms.

What have we been up to...

So this is just some of the things that we have been up to in the last few months.

Going to church, I'm working on the activities of the ward for the next year so busy, busy.

My sister and her family moved to saint marteen for her husband to go to Med school. so we can only talk to them online.
Eko is still doing home schooling. I'm horrible at doing it 5 days a week but we do it a few times a week still. Him and his cousin love it.
Eko is getting bigger and stronger. He is 38 inches tall and 39.3 pounds. He makes it so hard for me to carry him at times when he wants to play with me. But we do our best.
Eko REALLY likes Girls and he is always wanting to hang out with the girls and give them hugs and kisses. Kindda scary how they start so young.
I've been doing Some family history, mostly trying to fix all the mistakes that were made and getting the missing info.
And I have been doing some photoshoots ofcourse. I wish I had more but people here in Miami are just NOT into picture. Kindda sad. I miss my utah picture crazy people.

Eko got a mohawk a few weeks ago.He loved it and would go to everyone and would say "You like my mohawk" So cute. most people loved it, except for the few older family members that didn't like it.

I HATE DENTIST

Ok so I know dentist are not really evil but they sure freak me out. I had a really bad toothache last weekend so i went to the dentist and he was actually really nice. He gave a cleaning which hurt so bad cause my teeth were already sensitive. and gave me some medication but TOMORROW.... He is going to remove my tooth. all the way out and I'm freaking out. I don't like doctors or dentist and NEVER go to them alone i always take someone. But tomorrow I am going to get my tooth removed all by myself and I don't want to. I'm almost in tears for this reason but I will be ok. I'll try to listen to some conference talks while the dentist does his work to make me feel like heavenly father is with me and is talking to me throughout the evilness that will be done to me.

My cute little baby nephew. His name is Carlos Alberto Escobar JR. He is the latest addition to our family. He makes the 10th grandchild, 4 girls and 6 boys. I was lucky enough to go help my brother for a week to take care of this cute little baby and he just made me baby hungry.

Eko wanted to give him tons of kisses and later told me "Mommy, I like the baby....Can we have one to stay here in the house." I told him maybe soon.

Disney Movies

Okay so I have become obsess with collecting points for Disney movie club to get enought points for something I'm getting for Eko and I want to get it for christmas so i'm running out of time. So If any of you have disney movies you'll notice that inside all the little papers there is a code for the disney movie club. If you are not using the codes PLEASE pass them on to me so we can get the points. Thanks Guys, You are the greatest.

Oh on a side note. we went to the doctors today and Eko is 38 pounds and 38 inches tall. He is a growing healthy boy and I can hardly carry him because his body takes more than half of mine when he falls asleep and I have to carry him.

Reading

Ok, so as most of you know I'm not a big reader. I do it when i have to and thats it. Thats not because i hate to read but because i'm very picky on what i like to read BUT when i do find something i like i spend hours and hours reading. I guess i also don't read because i hate being interrupted while i'm reading and that happens a lot since i'm a mom. Even my scriptures i like to read them while listening to them online which means someone is actually reading them for me, i'm just following along. But anywho, I read this book called THE RED TENT when i was in high school. it use to be my sister's college book which she had to read for a class (a little side note, i don't like to read but i have always enjoyed reading my sisters college books, weird huh). Its a great book its kindda religious i guess. It tells the story of Jacob and his 12 sons but the story is being told through the eyes of his only daughter, her name was Dinah. I bet you guys didn't know jacob had a daughter huh. most people don't because she is only mentioned once or twice. It talks a lot about the traditions from back then, the price a husband had to pay for a wife (Jacob had 4 wifes), the rituals that were made when a virgin first bleed or when they first got married. It talks about the sorrows of losing a baby or more than one since back then miscarriages were very typical. it seems that only 50% of children actually survived. and the pain of not being able to bare children. ITs an amazing book, in my mind its how the bible would be if written by a woman. It also talks about all the Gods there use to be back then and the sacrifices people would offer them. It also talks a little about the stories of Jacob and Esau and the story of Rebecca and Isaac and even the promise given to abraham. It' a great book. For those of you that enjoy a good book I would highly recommend it. I read this book back when i was 16 and I'm reading it again now but is as if it was my first time, still can't get my nose out of it.

Georgia Trip

So a few weeks ago we went to GA to see my sister since they were moving to the caribbean to go to med school. I call it a 2 year vacation but thats just me. Eko did amazing in the 13 hour nonstop car trip. specially since we had just done a 24 both ways road trip to utah a week 3 days before. and 2 airplane ride.this will be a long post since i had over 400 pictures. we were there for 3 long, full days.

I LOVE being part of this way and I love the fact that i'm in there more than once. I love this family, they are the best.

Utah Surprise Trip aka Best Birthday Gift Ever

Last month we surprised mark's parents by just showing up at their house for a weekend. It wasn't really planned. we just put some clothes in a bag and took off. it was one of those trips. we drove from california to utah since we were in california that week. It took us 11 hours to get there instead of the 8 hours we thought it would take us.

Eko did a lot of this, he is the best traveler. we just slept, ate, watched movies, ate some more and once in a while he had to go pee. overall, the perfect traveling kid

we got bored and started making music videos. i gotta post some of them. it was fun.

we got to utah at 2AM and went to go stay at our friends Joe and Shalom and it was a blast spending the next morning with them. We have missed them the most, they are our best friends. And Tio Joe loved spending time with Eko
Kamaya is huge, last time i saw her she was but a few days old.
We were with the smilies till about noon and then drove to SLC to have lunch with one of my best friends Angie Diaz while we waited for mark's parents to get out of work. She almost kidnap Eko. she missed him so much.
Then...We went and surprised mark's family. All the girls were home and they screamed so loud the neighbors came to check on them to make sure everything was ok. but later found out it was our surprise. For our luck that afternoon there was a picnic so we got to see ALL our church member friends from when we lived in utah, it was great. There was so much good food, I'm still paying for the price of the extra pounds I put up.
Eko got to play with all his old friends from church and they all got to see how big he got.
We also got to see our old Dog Buddy, we miss him so much. It's ok buddy, in a few more months you will also be a Floridian resident and will be rolling in the sand instead of in the snow.
After the picnic Eko went to the part with his aunts. Don't you just love those mountains in the background.
While Eko was at the park we got to hang out with some old friends and Enjoy the Gorgeous View we had miss so much, Gosh do I miss those mountains. Here in miami, everything is FLAT. And at night we went to see the movie, SALT. such a good movie.
The next day was.....MY BIRTHDAY and pioneers day. So we enjoyed it with a nice breakfast thanks to mark's awesome mom. Then we went out for a movie to see INCEPTION, also an amazing movie. And then we went out for ice cream instead of a cake. Cold stone is SO much better than a cake and it's free on your birthday.
After Ice cream we went to our friends the fredwells who made me my favorite "Mango smoothy with Boba" mmmmm, so good. Eko had such a great time hanging out with his 3 favorite Tias and Getting 110% attention, it was ALL about him. Just look at his face.
And my FAVORITE part of a Utah Birthday is I GET FIREWORKS ON MY BIRTHDAY. There is one thing I LOVE about utah and that is that my birthday is a holiday and I get fireworks for my birthday, isn't that the best.
After Fireworks we went home and cuddled with our old buddy and with each other ofcourse while eko played with all his tias upstairs.
Then on sunday we said our goodbyes and head back to california. It was the best 48 hours ever and the best birthday gift mark could have ever given me. I LOVE YOU GORDO. No other husband would drive a total of 22 hours to give his wife 48 hours to celebrate her birthday with her best friends and family. HE IS THE BEST.
But this trip wouldn't have been complete without at least one thing going wrong. seconds before we left the house i sent eko and mark to go potty and so did I. Well as i was in the bathroom before i even went potty, i turned kindda fast and my phone flew off my pocket and RIGHT INTO THE TOILET. We had to dry the phone on the front of the car for 2 days before it started working again. luckely it still works, it has his moments of slowness but it works.

Airplanes/ Airports

This last few months Eko and I have gotten the chance to travel a lot. Most mothers hate to travel with small children but Eko and I have a blast during our 12 hour trips. (12 hours between flights, checking in and layovers)

This is Eko playing with his superhero toys while waiting to board. He was half way asleep here cause it was 1am.
We were at an airport in which they had these cool old looking planes hanging on the ceiling and eko had a blast running throughout the airport finding them. Good thing it was a 3 hour layover and it kept him entertain for a good amount of time.
and this was our plane.
It took us an hour to find food during this layover and we were so hungry that even that crappy sandwich tasted delicious. Eko was such a tropper.

OKAY,

So i've been thinking.... Which by the way is never good when I over analyze a situation and this is not my usual blog But i have a lot of my mind.

So Here are my thoughts. I WANNA GET PREGNANT... NO I DONT'S...WAIT I THINK I DO... NO ITS JUST ME BEING BABY HUNGRY AGAIN.......OKAY, OKAY I WANT A BAB......NO I CAN'T. Those has been my thoughts in the last few months and it's driving me crazy. Part of me want a baby since eko is already 3.5. I don't want him and his sibling to be 5 years apart either but it's going to happen if I don't hurry up. But then I think of the 30 extra pounds I'll have to lose ALL OVER AGAIN. I think of all the sushi I won't be able to do ( which I should go to SA cause I NEED to eat sushi at least once a month or I go crazy.) I think how I won't be able to travel as much as I love to do and the other 10 thousand excuses I can come up with. But then I think of the feeling of knowing there is a little person inside of you, I think of the Love a new baby brings to a family, how eko will have someone to play with and teach (Even tho i think he enjoys being an only child a little bit tooooo much, He is 110% a mama's boy) We have been saying we are going to get pregnant since LAST spring, as in spring of 2009. And we keep moving it but mark is soooo ready now. So it's official that as of november we'll be trying 100%. Right now we are just trying 60% cause I want to go get some medical check ups before i get pregnant again, like my back and a bad tooth i have. I think God should just take over and get me pregnant right away in November so I can have no more excuses not to get pregnant. So, Which me luck and lets hope for the best.

P.s. I think the reason why i'm freaking out so much to have #2 is because I had such a bad experience with Eko's pregnancy. the bad back pains (after having those, labor was a piece of cake.) My uterus erupting with eko still inside, eko coming out without breathing, being alone after delivery. but I need to realize this time its going to be different.

Eko and I are meeting up with mark in california for a week. we are celebrating our 4 year anniversary and father's day. We can't wait. Mark has been working away from home for 3 weeks so this will be our reunion. Eko is super excited to get in an airplane, be at the airport and go see daddy. I in the other hand i'm nervous for the 10 hour airplane/ airport trip which include a 3 hour layover. we are going to go crazy so which us luck. we will be posting pictures when we get back.

Eko is a swimmer

About a month ago we started teaching eko how to swim and within 2 days he was swimming for at least 10 seconds all alone. but now he has learned to swim from one side of the pool to the other side. Here is a video we got of him, It wasn't his best but he still did great.

A few days ago I signed up for some free samples from wal-mart and today I got them. I just wanted to say "I love free samples" I use to do this a lot back in the day but had stopped. Now I decided to do it again and if I get something I don't use I can always add it to my donation pile since I'm always doing donations for people in need. So in about 2-3 weeks I will have a mail box full of samples, I'm so excited. I'll be getting things like shampoo, toothpaste, pads, and even dog food. you guys should do it too.

Besides that, we are all good. we have been spending a lot time at home. but as of next week, eko is starting classes on monday, wed, fri and swimming lessons on tue and thu. so we getting more in a routine.

Okay so this has been a fell month, between birthday parties, hellos and good byes. here are just a few things that i was able to watch on picture since i don't always have my camera with me.

One of my father figures growing up was paul pitts, he is a Lt. at the coral gables police dep. he has served for almost 30 years but is finally retiring. this friday was just retiring party. Here is him and mama pitts.

At the party we did mug shots, it was too funny to see what people came up with. Here was mine. Back in the day people would call me nun so now that i'm married i'm nun-less. lol

Eko had an allergic reaction to a bite he got and his eye got huge. this was the first day, but the second day it actually got worse. His eye was about 80% close by the second day but it was back to normal by the 3rd day.
MOTHER'S DAY!!!

For mother's day i got a haircut, my mom and i went to get it together. my hair is really short now.
My boys took me for dinner. we had so much fun.
Mark got me a cool sun conure. these birds are orange and green till they turn one then they change colors to orange, yellow and blue. and they can learn to talk and sing. mine can only give kisses on command and get on your finger on command.
eko and I have been spending a lot of time together and doing lots of fun things together. He is really into taking pictures together now, its funny.

Miami Life

Ever since we moved to miami, I've felt as if life is flying by. I never have time for anything and yet nothing is getting done. Mark and I have been working almost 60 hours a week with only one day off which is sunday and since we serve at church its not even a day off cause we need to plan lessons and such. I mostly feel bad for eko cause he doesn't get all the attention he is use to get from me. But I'm hoping soon we can get this crazyness worked out.

But the other day we got to go out as a family and we went to go eat sushi since we are all sushi lovers, even eko goes crazy for it. this 2 year old is amazing with those chop sticks.

This pictures are from about two weeks ago but i hadn't had time to post them. One of eko's little friends was in the hospital so Eko and i made them cookies and cupcakes. ofcourse eko ate more than he shared but we still had fun making them.

The other day mark and I were in the car driving to work when we realized that next month is already april. At that time we both looked at each other and said "holy cow, eko is turning 3 next month." We were both in shocked to realized that our little baby is going to be 3 already. Time needs to start slowing down.

Last week we celebrated Mark's 30th birthday, the actual day we didn't do much cause we had to work but one of my many sets of parents (The Pitts) gave him a cake and bought him this cool watch and it made him the happiest person ever.

During the weekend we went to a cool theater were instead of chairs they have sofas and they serve dinner and drinks, we loved it. Expensive but awesome. it was so windy as you can tell by the hair and my dress looking like a sack of potatoes.

Sorry to have taken so long to blog. I feel like its been ages. But here is the lastin our family life.

Mark and I both have new jobs with a new company called redventures. they sell Direct tv so we will be selling DTV. we are very excited for it, the pay is awesome, the benifits are great and so it. we started last week, so keep us in your prayers that everything will work out.

This is one of my all times favorite pictures, Its so cute to see my two boys playing action figures together. It makes me look forward to seeing them two playing together as Eko gets older and understands more. Ignore the mess on the back, its not our house. lol.

As Eko gets older he becomes more independant but also more loving.

For christmas Our family went back to utah for family reunion. There was 25 of us including 7 kids. Its was crazy to have that many people in one house. But we had a great time getting to know everyone a little more.

Hope everyone had a GREAT christmas season with their families and friends. We got the blessing of coming to Utah to spend christmas with Mark's family for family reunion. We have had a blast with everyone. Thanks to mark's parents for flying us here.

Eko has been loving the snow, It has only snowed once since we got here but once was good enough for eko to enjoying playing in the fresh snow.
Christmas morning while eko opened presents. As you can tell all my long beautiful hair is gone. For this christmas I decided to give a little more than presents but give a little bit of myself. I had made a promised that I would not cut my hair for a year and when i did I would donate it to locks of love for someone who had lost their hair from cancer could be able to have hair once again. I donated ten inches even tho you cant really tell plus they cute about 3-4 inches more to even my hair. I'm sad to not have my long hair anymore but i'm happy to have given someone a great blessing.

Our first winter in miami. Mark is loving it cause its the second week of december and we are still wearing shorts. I myself miss the snow and the cold a little bit. I am really looking forward to the ten days we will be in utah. Today we put the lights on outside and somehow that made it feel a little more christmasy. I still don't feel like its christmas.

Hi everyone, I know We have fallen out of the face of the earth but DON'T WORRY, We are okay. A lot of things have happened. Mark is still in texas but not for long hopefully. Eko and I are in miami with my family. Eko is LOVING it here. He has a lot of cousins and little friends his age to play with. He is never bored. I have been looking for a job which has been hard but if things work out I will start working for AT&T, so pray for me. I have done most of their hiring process, I think there is only one or two more steps before training begins. I have been staying busy, trying to stay in shape, and having fun with eko. I will post pictures later when i have more time. Hope everyone is doing great.

Okay so here is the update. It kindda start from from the present to the past but oh well. Here is what has been going on lately.

Eko and I are in texas right now for about a week visiting mark and After that Eko and I are going to miami for a while.

Mark has a pool at his place and Eko is loving it.
Mark had this cute fruit basket he made for me when we got here, he also had some plantains which I love, a gift card for me to go shopping for my birthday and he sang me a song, hehe.

Last week I got to see GROVER!!!! He is the awesome missionary that convince me to join the church. I was one of his first investigators & his last baptism so I guess I am his whole mission, haha. He is awesome & his little boy is adorable. I almost cried saying goodbye to him.
While in Utah I really got into boxing, It was so much fun.
And Eko got into it too. This kid is going to be trouble.

Okay so I know it has been a long time since my last blog but Mark took my computer with him. But today I finally got to do some blogging. this is just a quick one saying what we have done in the last month.

We had a block party (A party with everyone in the neighborhood) It was a blast.

I got rid of all my highlights so my hair is only brown on the top and I have this on the bottom. some people call it a rattail and other people call it a peeaboo. I love it. you can only see it when i have my hair up which is nice.

So a few weeks ago, I was crazy enough to hike timpanogos mountain while caring eko. I carried him 3/4th of the way up and the whole way down. He got tired really quick. It was insane but I fell so proud to say I hiked all the way to the top of timpanogos while caring a 32 pound toddler and a heavy bag.

The view was breath taking.
Since eko and I have been spending 24/7 together we have gotten very close to each other. He loves to give me random hugs and kisses. this is our monkey face.

I also got to go tubing down provo canyon. It was crazy and we came home with a few scratches but we still had a blast. I would recommend it.

Last monday for family home evening we went to salt lake to watch a baseball game. By we I mean mark's parents, sisters, eko and I. Eko LOVED it, He is our little baseball player. This is just the beginning of many games we will be going to, We love it. Here are some pictures.

We started my birthday by going to the live session at the salt lake temple on thursday and then had lunch with Mark's mom. The girl in the picture with me is Sarah, Mark's sister who just came back from serving a mission in San Diego, she got back in june while we were gone. We are so proud of her. All these pictures are unedited "sorry about that." cause mark took my computer, I'm posting from a borrowed computer. thats why its been a while.

The Day of my birthday "Friday the 24th also known as pianeer day here in Utah." We started the day by having breakfast with Mark's 3 sisters, his mom, his cousin and our friends stacy and scott. We had a great time at IHOP.

After breakfast Eko and I went to spend some time with Grandma and Grandpa shipp. It has been a while since we spent a whole day with them. Eko played so hard with them, he passed out

After grandma and grandpa's we had a bbq to celebrate pianeer's day at our friend's house. They forgot it was my birthday, but stacy and scott (they are awesome) went and got me a yummy cake. Thay are so cute.

Eko helped me blow off the candals, he did two and I did one. I am 23 but they only had 3 so I guess I am only "3 years old."

so yummy!!!

And to end the day we had fireworks, We had our own but then the neighborhood gathered together and combine the works. It was awesome.

Overall I had a great day, Mark is out of town so I spent all day thinking of him but I still had a great birthday. I am sure we will celebrate when he gets back.

A few weeks ago I made a list of why I love Mark "Just a few cause if I wrote them all it would be a book," I now its really dorky but Let me just tell you why He stole my heart.

-He always kisses us hello and good bye.

-When he goes out o eat he always brings us left over. ( We love food.)

-He picks eko up from bed when he wakes up early

-He is so sexy, I love it. HeHe

-He always encourage me to be better. To try new things and expand my talents.

-He has never made me feel bad about my body (Even when I was fat after having eko) instead he encourage me to work out and be in shape even if that meant working out with me.

-He always dresses stylish and has helped me dress more in style too cause I had no style when we met, none at all.

-He is such a kid. Eko loves to have a play mate. He is not afraid to get down and dirty with eko

-He loves to shop. I both love and hate that. But I love how he doesn't mind going to the mall with me.

-He always lets me sleep in and I LOVE IT!!!!

-He is my assistant during my photoshoots (Sometimes) and he always trys to help me become a better photographer by getting me new equipment or giving me new ideas.

-When Eko was a newbown mark was the one who would pick him up, burp him and set him back down all night long. All I did was feed him. My husband is awesome!!!

-He knows how to cook and his food is A-MAZ- ING

-He deals with my family even when I don't want to.

-He makes me smile and that is my favorite

A day to remember..

Two weeks ago we went to Arlington Cemetery to go see one of my best friends / my little brother who died last July 13th 2008, This last monday was a year of his death. I had a really hard time when he died but going to the cemetery helped me to let go. Now I am ok, I know he is where he needs to be and he is just waiting for us in heaven. Museums Rock!!!

While on DC we went to some of their amazing museums, We went to the native american museum, The Earth and science museum and the Air and space museum. We loved it.

Eko has never been too in love with dinosaurs until He saw them with his own eyes, Now he loves them and goes crazy everytime he sees one.
He was so happy when he saw "Appy feet."
Living in virginia beach, eko went from hating to liking to loving airplanes. He always says "Bye, Bye, Airplane." So going to the air museum was a treat for him.
Eko had sooo much fun playing dress up at the museum's store.

After our weekend in DC we were so tires but sleeping in a car is not too comfortable and sleeping during the day is no fun So I got creative and used my air for a good purpose.

Washington DC

Here are some pictures of our trip to washington DC.

They had a lot of free stuff, We weren't expect it. They had real henna tattoos, I LOVED THEM.
Mark got some too.

They look so cool. Once they dry they become an dark orange color.

they had awesome food. Some was free but the best one you had to pay for.

Eko knows how to peel oranges now.

We had to sit for a few hours to wait for the fireworks. Eko just watched movies.

then eko got bored so i let him take pictures of daddy and he did great. he did better than adults i have asked to use my camera.

4th of july, part one

For the 4th of July weekend we went to washington DC and even tho Boston's fireworks were better last year "We still had the time of our lives." We Did so much and took way to many pictures so I will divided onto different post. Here is the fireworks part.

We were a little afraid to be out and about in a crowded place with a toddler who no longer uses diapers but eko did great. we were on the road for 4 days and he had no accidents but we did have to introduce him to John. We had to disinfect eko from head to toes after that.

we had to sit for a long time to wait for the fireworks so mark played some music for us.

When we got there it was not to full but by the time we left, it was packed.

It was so HOT. Poor eko was sweating buckets. we gave him a small fan and he kept putting it on his belly to make himself feel better.

Eko was so tired after a full day of walking that he fell asleep right before the fireworks started. Mark caught me sleeping next to eko. eko woke up freaked out when the fireworks began.

After the fireworks we stayed at our friend robert's place and eko almost killed his dog with hugs.

One last day at the beach!

So as some of you guys may know, We are going back to utah for family reasons. We will be leaving back to utah in about 32 hours. Yesterday we decided to go do some family time before we leave the great virginia beach.

Eko learned to eat with chap sticks and he loves it and is pretty good at it too.

We also got to spend some fun time at the beach. Eko use to hate the waves but he loves it now. And he still goes crazy in the sand. I got my hand cut by a STING RAY. It was not to big but It still scared me. We had a blast at the beach and walking the boardwalk.
We order some philly cheese stakes and they were sooo good.
And to end the day we got some cool tattoos.
Mark's tattoo looks mess up but we fixed it and it looks real now.

Eko's dreams came true

Last thursday eko and I had a mother and son date. It was awesome. We went to bush gardens with our friend and her son. Eko and I had a blast.

The girls wanted to go on the griffen so while they went up I stayed with the kids and eko got to ride on the seat and he thought he was such a cool big boy. he told me so.
THE GRIFFEN!!! A 90 degree drop that will make your greatest fears seem like a walk in the park.

Eko wanted to go on these cool airplanes that went up and down but he had to go alone. It was a little scary for me having to leave him but I guess he is growing up. He can do it alone now.
we made to make a stop at a store to get a clock for my friend, we found this cute train that had numbers & other cool educational stuff, it was just $3 so we got it. He loves his choochoo
Ok, this is when eko's dreams and hopes came true. He got to meet most of his friends from sesame street. Just look at his face as he waited for his turn to hug them.
When eko saw elmo, he attacked (pushed and pull) everyone in between him and elmo. It was funny but I was afraid someone was going to tell me off cause of him. HE LOVES ELMO!!!
Eko's friend jackjack was a little scare but eko loved the carousel "just look at his smile."
We also got to see a 4D sesame street movie. Eko thought it was cool to go to a theater just to see elmo. And he likes the water, wind and bubbles that came out of the chairs.
To end the day Eko got to play in the sesame street water park. He was afraid at first but he loved to get wet and refresh after a very hot day.
Eko had fun on the ride to and from home. They talked and played so good. the ride was about an hour long. They were so cute.
When we got home he was so tired. He passed out.

Happy anniversary to us

I know I am about a week late but life has been a little crazy. So last week june 16th we went to Bush Gardens to celebrate our anniversary, we went with our friends the peterson who were also celebrating their anniversary. They got married a week before us.

We are both silly, thats why we are meant for each other.

We got this amazing cotton candy ball. everyone was staring at us. It was great.

mark called this, "Mrs. Cotton Candy Head."

They were so excited for us to be there that they even had a sign welcoming mark to the park.
These masks were amazing but they were $200 and up.

They also had these awesome & HUGE horses.they were taller than mark but they are awesome

Mark loves bumper cars, They all attacked me.

In the water rides. I love how becky is holding on to scott as if her life depended on it.
all of us riding the griffon, (mark and I posing, hehe) this ride is crazy. it's a 90 degree drop. Its even hard to scream during that fall. we rode it 5 times tho, Mark couldn't get enough of it.

We had a blast but we did miss eko. He also had a blast with out friend miranda. I am so greatful for her, "You rock Miranda!!!" We had a blast cause of you babysitting.

Got Bike Love???

Eko is growing so much, so fast. He still loves cars and because we have so many aircrafts passing all day long, he likes to watch them and say "Bye,Bye Airplane." But his new love is..... BIKES!!!! He loves watching them, riding them and taking pictures in front of them. The other day he saw these two bikes by our house and he made me go take a picture of them with him.
